Motorcycle clubs and riding groups
Group motorcycle navigation
One planned route, every rider on it. Tarmac keeps a pack of bikes on the same line from meet-up to final stop.
The problem
Most ride apps are built for one rider. On a group ride, everyone loads a slightly different route, sat navs reroute independently, and the pack splits at the first busy junction.

How Tarmac helps
How it works
- Step 1
Plan once, share with the group
The organiser builds the route with stops, via points and shaping points. Everyone in the ride gets exactly the same geometry.
- Step 2
Roles that match real rides
Organiser, lead, rider and sweep each see what they need. The lead starts and pauses the ride; sweep can see who's behind.
- Step 3
No surprise reroutes
If traffic builds, Tarmac suggests a diversion that rejoins the plan. Each rider taps to accept — nothing changes on its own.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Does everyone need the app?+
Riders who want turn-by-turn and live positions need Tarmac. Legs can also be exported to Google Maps for anyone who prefers it.
Can we keep the ride private?+
Yes. Private groups are invite-only by link or code; public groups can be joined by anyone.
What happens if someone misses a turn?+
Their planned route is never overwritten. Tarmac guides them back to the shared route, and sweep can see where they are.
