The North York Moors combine wide, fast moorland roads with some of the steepest banks in England. In late summer the heather turns the whole plateau purple, and the run to Whitby is a classic.

Open, unfenced moor roads with long sightlines, broken by very steep, hairpinned banks such as Rosedale Chimney and Sutton Bank.
